If the parking lot at Zilker Botanical Garden is full, additional parking for the 18th Annual Texas Bamboo Festival will be available on Stratford Drive Please Print: Special Parking and Safety Instructions: It is very important that you follow the following directions to the extra parking area. Your safety is our first concern: As you leave the garden center, take a RIGHT on Barton Springs Road. Get into the left lane, and take your first left under the bridge. Take another left and you will heading back on Barton Springs Road towards the entrance to the garden center. Pass the ZBG entrance and take a left on Stratford Drive. The extra parking area is about 1/4 mile on your right side - across from the Rose Garden Gate. The City of Austin may be collecting a $3 parking fee. There is no charge if you park under the "Mopac Loop 1" bridge just down the road a small piece. Many of the Hike and Bike Trail users park under the bridge, but you will have a little further to walk. Enter the Botanical Garden through the Butterfly gate or Rose Garden gate.
