When Sung Cha Brooks was in school in Korea, art was her best subject. She started learning Oriental Brush in fifth grade. When she was older, she was chosen to represent her school at a national art competition. That's when her love for art began. Unfortunately, her passion for art would have to wait over 40 years.
In 2001, her daughter brought her an artist's set with various mediums. This reawakened her love for painting and she started painting and learning different techniques from area artists.
Sung Cha is active in several art organizations and has exhibited her works at various retailers, Bass Concert Hall, the Williamson Museum, local public libraries and at the Texas Bamboo Festivals.
